Dirt Circuit 22/03/2025

The Roxby Downs Dirt Circuit Club hosted their first dirt circuit racing event of 2025, Mind Over Masculinity took on the opportunity to run the canteen, bringing more than just good food to the trackside crowd.

We are known for promoting healthy conversations around men’s mental health, but we used the opportunity to not only serve up hot meals but also to promote meaningful discussions.  With the roar of engines in the background, the crew from Mind Over Masculinity worked tirelessly behind the counter, serving roast meat and gravy rolls, hot chips and nuggets to racers, spectators, and families. But their presence wasn’t just about hospitality—it was about breaking down stigmas. Encouraging open dialogue about mental well-being.

Some spectators simply grabbed a hot feed, while others took the chance to chat with volunteers about the organisation’s mission.  For many, the event highlighted how everyday moments—like ordering food at a race—can be an opportunity to check in on each other. As the day wrapped up and the final race came to a close, the canteen had done more than just feed hungry racegoers; it had sparked conversations that could make a lasting difference in the community.

A massive congratulations to the winner of the trailer, Josh Higginson!

We also want to give a huge shoutout to Richard and the team at the Roxby Tavern, especially Jade, for all her incredible efforts. Your hard work and support made this event a success – thank you for being such an important part of this journey.  Let’s keep pushing forward, breaking stigmas, and uplifting one another. Together, we’re unstoppable.
